New member, Darren Pearson, is organising a "Ride for Kyran" on Sunday 16th May. Kyran Richmond lives in Chilton and suffers from Juvenile Batten Disease which is a rare genetic metabolic neurodegenerative disease for which there is no cure.
This is a fund raising event to be completed by Darren and his friends. The ride leaves Ferryhill at 8.30 am and is going to Masham. The make up of the group will be very mixed and ridden at a very steady pace followed by a support vehicle.
To show support, our club run on this Sunday will also go to Masham where we will meet up with Darren's group. The club run will leave the Gretna at 9.00 am and go down to West Tanfield and then across to Grewelthorpe before reaching Masham. Hopefully we will have a good turn out and fill our quota of 15 allowed under current Covid regulations.
If any members would like to join Darren's group for a steady ride he has about four places available. Would you please message Steve on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you would like to ride with Darren or if you intend to join the club ride.
Any donations on the day would be welcome and if any members who are unable to join us on the ride would like to make a contribution then please ask for Darren's contact details.
