Awarded to the veteran achieving the best time on Standard in any 50 miles event.

Height 12”. Width 10.5”. A wooden shield with a silver scroll at top inscribed ‘Rothman’s Shield’. In the centre is a silver crested shield engraved ‘Ferryhill Wheelers C.C. Best on Standard Veterans 50’.Inset is a badge of F.W.C.C. in gold, blue and white.Individual shields record winners’ names and dates. A hinged stand is fitted at the back of the shield.
