The Jim Edmenson Trophy

Awarded to the rider achieving the highest points total British Cycling road races against 1st Cat. Where no 1st Cat events are ridde, then races against 2nd Cat and so on. Where no British Cycling events are ridden, then TLI events, excluding Handicap events, will count.

The original trophy for this race was the “Half - Wheeler” (now No. 11). A decision to change was made at the 1978 A.G.M. - “the new Senior R.R. trophy will be the Jim Edmenson Memorial”. Bought in July 1981 at a total cost of £71.70. Overall height 9”. Bowl 5.5” high, 7.5” diameter. Plinth 3.5” high, 6.5” diameter. A plain silver rose bowl with double curved handles each side and a silver mesh ,fitting into the top of the bowl. It stands on a brown octagonal plinth which has silver plates bearing the name of the trophy and winners and dates.
